Why are your charts calculated for Toronto, Canada?

I live in Toronto which is in the Eastern Time Zone, same as places like New York City and Florida. However, I try to mention when a transit or event happens on the day before or after the Toronto date, if the exact time is technically a different date.

Why do your charts only use the 0° Aries house system, instead of Placidus, Whole Signs, or some other house system?

I write for everyone no matter where you're located, which is why I don't focus on charts cast specifically for Toronto. Using the Aries 0 house system means the charts apply to everyone, not just a place in a particular time zone. House systems like Placidus, Whole Sign, etc, are focused on a specific time and place, which gives a particular Ascendant, Midheaven and houses. Unfortunately, using the Aries Houses, we miss out on interpreting a planet's house placement which are valid only in a limited range of places.

I'm in [country/city]. Does a chart for Toronto apply to me?

Yes! Whether you're in Toronto or Europe or South America or Africa or Russia or Australia, the planetary positions remain the same. Since I don't use houses in my website charts, the planet signs, aspects and declinations will apply to everyone regardless where you're located.

I'm a Taurus. What does Sagittarius [or any other sign] have to do with me?

We have all 12 zodiac signs in our charts, because all 12 signs were in the sky at the moment we're born. We all have an Aries side, and Taurus side, etc, although some signs are emphasized more than others if they have planets or points in them. You also have all the signs in your human psyche through their planetary rulers: Mars for Aries and Scorpio, Venus for Taurus and Libra, Mercury for Gemini and Virgo, etc.

I don't think I believe in astrology.

That's okay! Astrology is really just a lens you can look at life through. It enables you to see some things about yourself and the world around you more clearly.
