The planet Earth isn't usually used in astrology charts except in heliocentric astrology. The reason is that in geocentric astrology, planet Earth is always exactly opposite the Sun in the chart.
In geocentric charts, the angles are Earth-related points that are used. These generally involve the horizon (Ascendant and Descendant) and the geographical longitude or meridian (the Midheaven and the IC).
